Hvad er Tøroffset?

Teknikken gør brug af en trykplade belagt med silikone.
Trykbilledet brændes ned i silikonen. Princippet er; at silikone skyer farve, ligesom vand skyer farve i vådoffset. Farven er altså flydende, trods navnet.

Fordele ved tøroffset:
• Et skarpt punkt
• Høj densitet i farven
• Ingen vand til at sløre punktet
• Miljøvenlig proces hele vejen
• Der bruges ingen alkohol
• Der trykkes med vegetabilske farver.

Nyhed: Kaleidofarver.

KALEIDO: EXPANDING THE CMYK COLOR GAMUT

TOYO INK redefines 4-color printing using innovative pigment technology

Most prepress devices operating in RGB color space

In the current prepress workflow, digital cameras, scanners, monitors and software are operating in the RGB color space. The appropriate settings are chosen in the image processing software; the Adobe RGB (1998) color gamut covers most colors. Other examples include sRGB IEC61966-2.1, Apple RGB, ColorMatch RGB / Monitor RGB and Apple ColorSync RGB.

Limited 4-color CMYK color gamut
Whilst prepress can operate in the wide RGB color space, it is the final 4-color CMYK printing process with its inherent limited color space that limits the color range. Reproducing a picture which includes colors beyond the CMYK color space requires a printing process using 6 or 7 colors. But this involves expensive equipment and hence, most customers and printers settle for the limited color range of 4 color printing.

The challenging decision
TOYO INK evaluated the current workflow and took an uncompromised and challenging decision: to completely reengineer the four CMYK process colors. Using our pigment production knowledge, new dedicated pigments were developed.

TK Kaleido Offset inks
The newly developed offset inks "TK Hy-Unity Soy Kaleido" expand the current CMYK gamut to a gamut which is close to 6 or 7 color printing, all this just using four colors in a 4 color printing process.

A color gamut unimaginable until recently now answers the needs of designers and the photographers as well as those of the printing companies, using a fast and affordable 4-color printing process.

TK Kaleido: nearly complete coverage of the Adobe RGB gamut

Digital printing data is currently using the RGB color space, as used in picture files, prepress monitors and digital photography. But since the CMYK color gamut is narrower than the RGB gamut, it is impossible to reach the original RGB color range. Color management profiles are therefore required to limit the larger RGB gamut; thereby achieving color consistency throughout the prepress and printing processes.
TK Kaleido redefines the color gamut, eliminating the narrow gamut problems related to 4-color printing

The figures above show a two- and 3-dimensional chromaticity diagram, defined by hue/chroma, saturation and lightness. The current standard ink refers to the color gamut of our current JapanColor inks.
Kaleido's gamut is clearly reflected next to the Adobe RGB monitor gamut.

Color gamut: Kaleido vs. conventional CMYK inks
Using current CMYK process colors, several colors cannot be reproduced:

The color gamut of Kaleido inks is much wider than that of current inks.
It improves the primary CMYK colors in different perspectives

Kaleido1
1 Rich and vibrant gradations from Yellow to Red
2 Highly enhanced strong red reproduction

3 Vivid magenta, with beautiful pink reproduction.

4 Dense blue reproduction, difficult to achieve until now, has been     remarkably improved by Kaleido's color gamut.
